Editorial & Fact-Checking Policy

Our pedagogical mission demands absolute factual reliability. Learn how NewsToEnglish verifies claims, corroborates events, and respects intellectual property rights.

1. Independent Educational Reporting

NewsToEnglish creates original educational news reports based exclusively on verified facts, rather than mechanically copying, spinning, or republishing copyrighted articles. We respect international copyright treaties: public RSS feeds, news wire alerts, and web pages grant discovery rights, not reproduction licenses.

2. Mandatory Corroboration Standard

Before any global event is approved for educational adaptation, our newsroom enforces a multi-source validation standard:

  • Key claims (names, dates, casualty figures, policy announcements) must be confirmed across at least two independent, reputable wire agencies or institutional primary records.
  • Scientific breakthroughs must cite peer-reviewed academic journals or authorized university research releases.
  • Disputed allegations, ongoing political elections, and diplomatic conflicts require explicit attribution and neutral framing.

3. Preserving Factuality Across CEFR Tiers

Adapting an article for beginner learners (CEFR A1 and A2) requires simplifying grammar and using high-frequency vocabulary. However, simplifying language must never compromise factual truth. Dates, numbers, quotations, and scientific uncertainty must remain rigorously faithful across all six levels.

4. Corrections & Transparency

If an underlying news event evolves or a factual inaccuracy is identified, our editorial team immediately updates the factual brief and republishes corrected versions across all impacted CEFR levels with an explicit correction note.
