NewsToEnglish grades each verified real-world news story into six distinct pedagogical versions. Read the guide below and choose the level that matches your current learning goals.

CEFR A1(Beginner)Basic User
Target: 60–90 words

Designed for learners beginning their English journey. Facts are broken down into short, unambiguous sentences with transparent vocabulary.

Grammar & Syntax:Present simple, past simple, short declarative sentences, basic coordinates ('and', 'but')
Lexicon Profile:High-frequency everyday words, concrete nouns, basic verbs
CEFR A2(Elementary)Basic User
Target: 90–120 words

Builds reading confidence with connected events and simple causal relationships without overwhelming the reader.

Grammar & Syntax:Short connected paragraphs, basic subordinate clauses ('because', 'when'), present perfect for recent news
Lexicon Profile:Everyday news collocations, familiar thematic descriptors
CEFR B1(Intermediate)Independent User
Target: 120–160 words

The primary working level for adult learners. Explains causes, scientific findings, and policy events clearly while introducing genuine news idioms.

Grammar & Syntax:Varied sentence structures, passive reporting voice, contrastive linkers ('whereas', 'however', 'although')
